The Dream explores the uncertain threshold between wakefulness and sleep through a series of ink and tempera drawings. Faces retain traces of recognisable features while their forms fragment and dissolve. Developed into an editorial project, the drawings bring this instability into the sequence of pages. The work considers what happens to the perception of a face as it remains recognisable and, at the same time, begins to become something else.
